Too many people buy a laptop when all they want to do is surf the web.

Media consumption vs. Media: It’s my opinion, one of the best ways to differentiate between tablets and laptops to explain. First, what is media consumption? This means that surfing the web, video or a movie, read a book, or checking Facebook.

Media creation, on the other hand, requires a higher degree of user input. While generally more text-intensive operations such as writing long emails, working papers, or programming, it should be noted that the work such as photo manipulation or video is also included in this category. Basically, media creation requires the user actively involved and engaged in a high degree of input device.

Laptops, netbooks, ultra-books and tablets can be sorted into two different categories. They are either great for media consumption, or ideal for media creation. The distinction may seem simple enough at first, laptops, netbooks and ultra-books are ideal for media creation, the tablets are ideal for media consumption. Devices designed for creating media have their entire ecosystem on this issue. This means that the hardware, software and product design are optimized for media creation. A high degree of flexibility in software options, ergonomic and easy to use equipment and a high level of device support are key factors in creating media.

Media consumption devices, on the other hand, are poorly suited for most tasks reserved for old media creation. Looking at it from another perspective, the media creation devices fulfill all the tasks that the devices can use the media. The difference is that the media consumption devices are designed with only those tasks in mind. Tablets:

The tablets are designed with media consumption in the spirit, and their design reflects this. Tablets really shine when it comes to tasks like web browsing, reading books, pictures of sailing and watching movies. All these tasks can of course be done on a device for media creation, but the design of the tablet form factor and make it easier for these tasks. When you take portability to take two extra weight and long battery life, it is easy to see why the tablets have their heads here.

Remember, the shelves are ideal if you are limited tasks in the text or other user input intensive, and as long as you’re not dependent on particular software on your computer regularly.

Ultra-Books:

Ultra-books are the latest addition to the family laptop, even if there were a few around for a while. What books are designed ultra?

Ultra-books feature similar to a regular full-size laptop. Battery life is significantly extended in one, with a high degree of portability, making these devices ideal for those on the road. The main drawback for those looking for a book to buy is the price of ultra – ultra-books are much more expensive than a laptop of the same scene. At present, ultra-books store and even lose power and graphics. Ultra-books are designed to give consumers a ground. Many consumers want a device primarily for use on the go, their Facebook, email, Twitter check, you name it. This is the group to which tablets are an attractive option. Users can currently enjoy the benefits of a full-size laptop, but the will of the portability of a tablet is also worth noting the abundance of ultra-books on the shelves. Netbooks:

What about netbooks? Netbooks are designed with portability in mind, but also in price. Netbooks are usually cheaper than entry-level laptops and their performance is a reflection. They reach a considerable autonomy, longer than most laptops, but suffer from limited power, with the limitation of screen resolutions. Conclusion:

So there is room for laptops?

Books offer a wide range of different configurations, but in general, are compared with netbooks or ultra-books, they offer a good amount of computing power, storage capacity, large screens and high-powered graphics cards. This means that the laptops are ideal for people who play graphic intense games, people who need treatment grunt important both for content creation or simulation data, and also for those who like to have a large media library with them at all times. Whether for business or leisure, laptops generally have good prices for solid performance. Although they cover a wide range of prices, they are generally more profitable than ultra-books – at least in terms of processing power, graphics and storage.

However, as technology moves forward, the line between ultra-portable book and is definitely fading. Ultra-books will increase speed to enable them to fully replace the laptop?
